About us
We are JDWorks LTD, trading as MESTRA, a company registered in England and Wales. Our products are sold exclusively through our website at getmestra.com.
How to contact us
Email: hello@getmestra.com
If we need to contact you, we will do so by email or post using the details you provided when placing your order.
Our products
MESTRA sells modular furniture products manufactured from birch plywood. All products are made to order— we do not hold finished goods in stock. Products are manufactured following receipt and confirmation of your order.
Our products are described on our website, including dimensions, materials and finishes. We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions and images are accurate, but minor variations in appearance or finish may occur due to the nature of natural materials.
Handmade products and natural materials
MESTRA products are handmade and hand-finished from real wood materials. Each product will be unique. Variations in grain pattern, colour, tone, figuring, edge lamination, knots, mineral streaks, finish absorption and other natural features of the wood are expected and are not faults.
Product photographs, samples and display pieces are provided as a guide only. The product you receive may not match them exactly because each batch of wood is different and because finishing work is carried out by hand.
Minor differences between individual components, including small differences in colour, texture, sanding, finish, alignment or other handmade characteristics, may occur. These differences form part of the character of a handmade wood product and do not make the product faulty, provided the product remains structurally sound and materially as described.
Wood and wood-based materials can move, expand, contract, mellow or change colour over time, particularly where there are changes in temperature, humidity, sunlight or moisture. Small seasonal movement or changes in appearance are normal for wood products and are not faults.
Our products are intended for normal indoor domestic use. They should not be used outdoors, in damp rooms, in direct contact with water, near strong heat sources, or in environments with extreme or rapidly changing humidity. Damage, warping, staining, swelling, cracking or discolouration caused by those conditions is not covered by our warranty.
Placing an order
How to place an order
Orders are placed through our website at getmestra.com. By submitting an order you are making an offer to purchase the products listed in your order at the stated price.
Order acceptance
Your order is accepted — and a contract formed between us — when we send you an order confirmation email. We reserve the right to decline any order before this point, for example if a product is unavailable or if there is an error in pricing.
Made-to-order acknowledgement
By placing an order, you acknowledge that your products will be manufactured specifically for you following order confirmation. Manufacturing typically begins within a short period of your order being accepted.
Price and payment
Pricing
All prices are displayed in pounds sterling (£) and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change our prices at any time, but price changes will not affect orders that have already been confirmed.
Payment
Payment is taken in full at the time of ordering. We use Stripeto process payments securely. MESTRA does not store or have access to your card or banking details — all payment information is handled directly by Stripe.
Delivery
Delivery timeframe
As all products are made to order, your order will be delivered within 10 weeks of your order confirmation date. We aim to deliver within 6 weeks in most cases, but the 10-week period applies as our contractual commitment.
If we are unable to meet this timeframe, we will contact you as soon as possible. If the delay is significant and you no longer wish to proceed, you may cancel your order for a full refund.
Delivery area
We currently deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom. Please contact us at hello@getmestra.com if you require delivery outside this area.
Risk and ownership
Ownership of the products passes to you once we have received payment in full. Risk in the products passes to you on delivery.
Delivery issues and missing items
Items shown as delivered:If our carrier's tracking system confirms your order has been delivered, we ask that you first check with neighbours and any safe locations around your property before raising a non-delivery claim. Where tracking confirms delivery, this constitutes evidence that the goods were delivered to the address provided. We will investigate any non-delivery claim but are not liable for items that cannot be located following a confirmed delivery scan.
Items lost in transit: If your order has not arrived within the delivery timeframe and tracking does not show it as delivered, please contact us at hello@getmestra.com as soon as possible and no later than 28 days from your estimated delivery date. We will liaise with the carrier on your behalf. If an item is confirmed as lost in transit, we will offer a replacement or full refund.
Incorrect delivery address: MESTRA is not responsible for failed or missed deliveries where an incorrect or incomplete delivery address was provided at the time of ordering. Re-delivery charges may apply in such cases.
Damaged on arrival: If your order arrives visibly damaged, please photograph the damage before unpacking where possible and contact us at hello@getmestra.com within 48 hours of delivery. We will arrange a repair, replacement or refund as appropriate.
Your right to cancel
Statutory cancellation right (14 days)
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of delivery without giving a reason. To exercise this right, you must inform us of your decision to cancel by emailing hello@getmestra.com before the cancellation period expires.
MESTRA's extended returns policy (60 days)
In addition to your statutory rights, MESTRA offers an extended 60-day returns window from the date of delivery. This allows you to try your furniture at home and return it if you are not satisfied.
To make a return within the 60-day window, please contact us at hello@getmestra.com with your order number and reason for return. We will arrange collection of the item at no additional cost to you.
Items must be returned in a resalable condition — unused or reassembled without damage, and in a condition suitable for resale. If any individual part or component is returned in a condition that prevents resale, we will charge for the replacement cost of that part, which will be deducted from your refund.
Returns and refunds
Refund process
Once we have received and inspected your return, we will notify you by email. If the return is accepted, your refund will be processed within 14 days of us receiving the returned goods, using the same payment method used for the original purchase.

- Any loss or damage that is not foreseeable
- Any business losses (our products are sold for domestic and personal use only)
